Known for her “California Casual” aesthetic, Trista Mellows, Owner + Principal Designer of Trademark Design, specializes in creating beautiful, friendly, and functional spaces. Her designs exude a relaxed, sun-soaked style that is both timeless and modern. Trista’s projects are personalized to reflect her clients’ interests, travels, and lifestyles, resulting in polished and inviting spaces.
In addition to her career, she is also an active member of the design community, participating in industry events and staying up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in residential design. Her commitment to continual learning and growth ensures that her designs are always fresh and current.
Trista is a graduate of Fanshawe College’s School of Art & Design with a specialization in Interior Design and Decoration, and has been designing with Trademark Design and area builders for over fifteen years.
Milestones
In 2014, she served as set designer for the Marilyn Denis show segment titled “Back to School Bedrooms“, in partnership with Pottery Barn Kids.
In 2019, she had the privilege of leading a design team in the creation of three magical rooms for the Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington’s annual Holiday House Tour of Distinctive Homes.
In 2019, she started her Lifestyle + Design blog where she shares her experiences designing, building and living with her husband in the Hamilton area.
In 2024, she expanded her services to offer In-Home Organizing Solutions, which she believes has a profound impact on our overall well-being and quality of life.
