I never used to like Fall … there, I said it.
To me, Fall always used to mean the period of time between Summer and the Christmas Holiday season (ha ha) and I wasn’t a big fan!
I wasn’t excited for cooler weather because I waited ALL Winter long for Summer to arrive! But over the last five years or so, I have really warmed up to it.
First of all, living in Canada and having the privilege of experiencing four seasons is inspiring. I never truly appreciated this when I was younger.
Secondly, my other-half absolutely LOVES Fall and that’s infectious. (Though, my love for Christmas has yet to rub-off on him LOL)
Third, it’s SO cozy. This will be our second Fall in the house. I have liked cozying up the decor for Fall and Winter. Full disclosure: I’m not a big Pumpkin Spice fan, but I do love hot drinks like apple cider, tons of blankets and having the windows open.
Finally, there’s just so many fun things to do! Things like apple picking and baking, fall markets and getting the perfect pumpkin, and of course Thanksgiving and time spent with family. I love it!
Fall Decor Must-Haves
If you haven’t noticed, our home is pretty neutral. I don’t love adding “seasonal” items throughout the year because I don’t like a lot of clutter. Some items though, they are just perfect enough to make the cut!
